I have computer with ASUS motherboard and Realtek integrated soundcard. New computer will have Asus Strix Raid Pro soundcard. It has microphone input and line input both 3.5mm. I want to connect my Rode Procaster microphone with XLR output to this computer.
As far as I understand I should not need phantom power for microphone but it does not work with just XLR to 3.5mm cable.
What should I do to connect mic to computer mic in? I am not planning to build costly setup, but I still want good sound.
I am not very familiar with this XLR tech yet.
