I'm waiting for the AMD laptops considering they will release the 8 cores mobile CPU's soon. I'm just wondering if a 6 core intel cpu is going to give me the same results? Or will Android Studio take advantage of each core?

Intel processors are always better to work with Android Studio

Intel processors are better for emulation because of it's VT-x technology. This will let you install HAXM in Android Studio easily. Which will let you emulate your Android Emulator easily in Android Studio.

For AMD processors Android Studio provides less support in emulator emulation. You will have to activate virtualization from the BIOS settings manually.
