Hopefully simple query: I am looking for a USB wifi adapter that supports ad hoc networking in Windows 10. Can anyone recommend a solution?

I don't really care which vendor and don't need high performance. Just need to be able to execute netsh wlan show drivers, and see that hosted network is supported.

  • Maybe this SO answer can help. AFAIK it can still be done with most WiFi adapters but the command line results you are looking for has stopped working in Windows 10. – Romen Nov 13 '19 at 17:51
