I am trying to build a homemade 8-bit computer and I want it to be able to plug in a USB keyboard instead of designing my own one.

I am searching for a device that I would plug a USB keyboard in and converts the characters pressed onto an ASCII character and stores it in memory (SRAM) at address 03FF.

I would like the device to be able to set a pin high (or low) for a certain amount of time when any key is pressed to trigger an interrupt on the CPU that tells it to reads whatever byte is stored at memory location 03FF.

Thank you for your help,

Alexander
